FAQ

If you’re not yet familiar with Soapboxly, this is a great place to start! Scan through our answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about our agency and learn if we’re the right fit for you.

Um, rude.
That’s more like it! Soapboxly is a content-focused marketing agency. Think of us as your “full stack” content team, here to tackle any and all content needs your business has. As an agency, we partner with businesses for recurring monthly engagements, although we occasionally take on clients with more short-term, project-based needs.
We intentionally don’t list pricing on our website because businesses are like snowflakes (awww) – no two are the same! Soapboxly is also an agency offering recurring/ongoing services, so we tend to avoid letting people “add to cart” our services and buy them for set prices like you would your laundry detergent on Amazon (wait – do you not order all your household products on Amazon? Us either…).

Before contacting us, it’s best to have a ballpark idea of how much marketing budget you have saved aside for content. If you’re not sure, check out our article on how to determine your marketing budget.
Woah there, partner! Before you can determine how much and what type of content you need, you have to take a hard look at your business goals. When people come to us asking if we can fulfill a predetermined number of posts per month or week, we tend to find that this was inspired by a “best practices” blog or a correlation study. No two websites or businesses are the same, so we won’t treat you like they are.
There is content and there is search engine optimization, but we vehemently reject the idea of “SEO content” – that there is some content created exclusively for search engines. Search engines like Google have always been driven by searcher experience – and it makes sense! If the searcher isn’t happy, they won’t return to use their product, and if they don’t return to use their product, Google doesn’t make money. Exceptional content in search results is mutually beneficial.

Soapboxly was founded by someone with a deep background in both search engines and content, which is why we describe our services as “audience focused, search engine mindful content.”
Not right now! Soapboxly’s bread-and-butter is creating exceptional content that earns traffic, conversions, and brand awareness for your business. However, if you have another digital marketing need that you’re really looking for help with, contact us to see if it’s something we feel comfortable handling. If not, we’ll do our best to refer you to someone who can handle it.
Businesses who sign up with Soapboxly typically start out with an uncovering stage. Before we even think about putting our fingers to the keyboard, we take the time to get to know you. This includes conversations to go over your goals, your expectations, and finding your brand voice & tone.

Once we’ve identified your objectives and know how to write from your unique perspective, we typically move into a content cleanup phase where we conduct a full content inventory and get everything in the right shape. With that foundation laid, we can then move onto proactive content creation, which looks different for everybody (remember: snowflakes). View our services page for more info.
Yes! We love empowering businesses to handle their own marketing. As much as we love alleviating the burden of content by having businesses outsource this aspect of their marketing to us, we understand that some businesses want to keep things in-house, and we 100% respect that. Get in touch to tell us what type of coaching you’re looking for.
We love helping any business that wants to grow and could benefit from marketing content, but we specialize in content for B2B, SaaS, and technology companies.
Yes! If you have an in-house content team, we can work collaboratively with them to create the best content possible. We can do just about everything short of content development: keyword research, helping with on-page SEO (title tags, internal linking, etc.), advising on conversion best practices, or even assist in creating your editorial calendars.
Yes! Right now Soapboxly is available for businesses in need of intermittent consulting services. This is great for businesses that mostly have a grasp of what to do and the ability to execute it on their own, but need advice from time-to-time. Reach out to tell us a bit more about your consulting needs.
